To long for a family.Funfact: this scene actually contradicts a part of the books. The movie, since it takes place far in the future from the books, is an interesting addition to the series.
But Pitch lost the last of his humanity, and therefore his compassion, in book 3 thanks to Nightlight, and after reading the books, this scene no longer pulls at my heartstrings like it used to. Even if he was pulling from his memories regarding his daughter, it just strikes me as a very well acted scene on Pitch’s part.
If you’re familiar with the books it changes your perspective on this scene a whole fuck-ton. This scene is just Pitch being manipulative as fuck.
I’m so glad that someone finally brought this up. I’ve noticed it for a while now and it strikes me as odd whenever people get genuinely upset over this scene and pity Pitch. It’s like, bitch please, if you only knew.
